Gladstone Engineering Alliance’s Industry Update Breakfast provides information about projects, activities and opportunities in the Queensland region connecting SME’s to project leaders and other businesses.

On the 11th of February, CEO of GILG Stacey Williams and representatives from Australia Pacific LNG, Santos GLNG and Shell’s QGC business will present updates and information on the Major Industry Shutdown calendar, providing business with the opportunity to be prepared for upcoming shutdowns and projects.

The shutdown updates will be from Cement Australia, NRG, Orica and Rio Tinto, Australia Pacific LNG, Santos GLNG and Shell’s QGC business.

About Australia Pacific LNG operated by ConocoPhillips

Australia Pacific LNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips (37.5%), Origin Energy (37.5%), and Sinopec (25%). ConocoPhillips Australia operates the downstream LNG facility on Curtis Island, near Gladstone, and the LNG export sales business.

Australia Pacific LNG is the largest producer of natural gas in eastern Australia, supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with Liquefied natural gas (LNG). Each year APLNG supplies approximately 30 percent of the Australian east coast domestic gas market.

About Santos GLNG

Santos GLNG is a pioneering venture producing natural gas from Queensland’s coal seams, to be converted into liquefied natural gas (LNG) for sale to world markets.

It involves ongoing gas field development in the Surat and Bowen Basins, a 420-kilometre gas transmission pipeline, and an LNG plant on Curtis Island, near Gladstone.

Santos GLNG is led by Australian company Santos, in partnership with three of the world’s leading energy companies – PETRONAS from Malaysia, Total from France, and KOGAS from South Korea.

Santos GLNG will be operating in the Gladstone region for decades to come and
is proud to be a long-term member of such a great community.

About Shell’s QGC business

Shell’s QGC business is located in Queensland in Eastern Australia. They are one of Australia’s leading natural gas producers, focused on developing Queensland’s world-class onshore gas reserves. We produce natural gas to supply the Australian domestic market and for export as LNG via our two-train LNG liquefaction plant on Curtis Island in Queensland. QGC produces natural gas from the Surat Basin of southern Queensland and supplies domestic and international markets.
