Charity Golf Day raised $5,000 for Aussie Helpers

A total of 105 golfers made the most of the beautiful weather to help raise funds for Aussie Helpers at the GEA Charity Golf Day.
In an overwhelming show of generosity the businesses and golfers who supported the day were able to raise $5,000 for farmers and rural communities across Australia.
A huge THANK YOU to our sponsors
GEA wants to give a huge shout out to our principal partner KAEFER Integrated Services and event sponsors Alpha HPA, ACL Industrial Technology, Andersons Autocity, AVIS, BOC, Sealink, Elevate Media, CSE Crosscom, Homeground, Kitja Services, and Gladstone Golf Club. We also thank our major and minor hole sponsors and our supporters for helping to make this year's GEA Charity Golf Day the success that it was.
Gladstone Engineering Alliance’s 15th annual Charity Golf Day is the ideal environment for GEA members and non-members to network with one another outside of the office, develop future opportunities for collaboration, and give back to a local community charity.
The GEA Charity Golf Day includes a morning of networking over breakfast at the Gladstone Club house, 18- hole golf tournament, lunch and will finish the day with prizes and an official presentation.
In 2025 we had 36 teams take part in the GEA Charity Golf Day, raising $7,100 for The Shelter Collective. With your support we look forward to surpassing that figure in 2026.

The big reveal is just around the corner!

Since its launch in 2017, the Roseberry Qld Dignity Hub has become a vital lifeline for Gladstone Region individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing stress, and social disadvantage across our community.
What began as a small response to local need has grown into an essential service that offers dignity, compassion, and practical support to people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. At the Hub, people can access hot meals and grocery parcels, laundry and shower facilities, toiletries and personal items, a kitchenette and trusted information and referral pathways. Every service is provided free of charge, with no qualifying criteria, because when someone is in crisis, barriers only deepen hardship.
The face of disadvantage in our community is changing. Rising living costs mean more people, many who have never needed support before, are now seeking help. Families who were once managing are struggling to afford groceries, while individuals sleep in their cars and visit the Hub for a shower before heading to work. In 2017–18, the Dignity Hub supported around 850 people in the region. In the past year alone, that number has grown to more than 4800, and the demand continues to rise.
In March this year, the Hub provided 726 grocery hampers to Gladstone Region individuals and families, representing a 151% increase on the same time last year.
The Dignity Hub receives no government funding, meaning our dedicated staff, every meal, grocery item, and essential product is made possible through partnerships, donations, grants, and the generosity of our community.
Support from events like the GEA Charity Golf Day helps ensure the Hub can continue offering care, hope and dignity to those who need it most.
