Charity Golf Day raised $5,000 for Aussie Helpers

A total of 105 golfers made the most of the beautiful weather to help raise funds for Aussie Helpers at the GEA Charity Golf Day.
In an overwhelming show of generosity the businesses and golfers who supported the day were able to raise $5,000 for farmers and rural communities across Australia.
A huge THANK YOU to our sponsors
GEA wants to give a huge shout out to our principal partner KAEFER Integrated Services and event sponsors Alpha HPA, ACL Industrial Technology, Andersons Autocity, AVIS, BOC, Sealink, Elevate Media, CSE Crosscom, Homeground, Kitja Services, and Gladstone Golf Club. We also thank our major and minor hole sponsors and our supporters for helping to make this year's GEA Charity Golf Day the success that it was.
Gladstone Engineering Alliance’s 15th annual Charity Golf Day is the ideal environment for GEA members and non-members to network with one another outside of the office, develop future opportunities for collaboration, and give back to a local community charity.
The GEA Charity Golf Day includes a morning of networking over breakfast at the Gladstone Club house, 18- hole golf tournament, lunch and will finish the day with prizes and an official presentation.
In 2025 we had 36 teams take part in the GEA Charity Golf Day, raising $7,100 for The Shelter Collective. With your support we look forward to surpassing that figure in 2026.
Member Voted Beneficiary for 2026
The beneficiary for our 2026 Charity Golf Day is in the works, and your vote counts!
Stay tuned as the GEA members finalise their selection.
The big reveal is just around the corner!
We are delighted to announce The Shelter Collective as the official beneficiary of our 2025 Charity Golf Day. This grassroots, Central Queensland-based non-profit is doing vital work to address one of the region’s most pressing challenges – safe and affordable housing.
The Shelter Collective was founded with a simple but powerful mission to help communities build homes and futures through local collaboration and compassionate action. Their work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home – and that real change begins at the community level.
This year’s Golf Day will support ARC21, their most ambitious project to date. Standing for Affordable Residential Communities, ARC21 involves the transformation of the long-abandoned Hibiscus Gardens and Cooinda aged care facilities in South Gladstone. Once neglected and empty for nearly a decade, these buildings are now being revitalised into 21 fully refurbished one-bedroom units that will provide safe, affordable rentals for people experiencing homelessness or rental stress.
What makes ARC21 truly special is its deeply community-driven approach. In April 2025, over 60 local volunteers came together to clean up the site, with businesses donating materials, machinery, and hands-on support. Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered goes directly toward giving vulnerable individuals and families the chance to rebuild their lives.
Through this project, The Shelter Collective is not only creating homes—they’re restoring hope, dignity, and connection for those who need it most.
By participating in the 2025 Charity Golf Day, you’ll be helping to fund this transformative initiative.
