Charity Golf Day raised $5,000 for Aussie Helpers
A total of 105 golfers made the most of the beautiful weather to help raise funds for Aussie Helpers at the GEA Charity Golf Day.
In an overwhelming show of generosity the businesses and golfers who supported the day were able to raise $5,000 for farmers and rural communities across Australia.
A huge THANK YOU to our sponsors
GEA wants to give a huge shout out to our principal partner KAEFER Integrated Services and event sponsors Alpha HPA, ACL Industrial Technology, Andersons Autocity, AVIS, BOC, Sealink, Elevate Media, CSE Crosscom, Homeground, Kitja Services, and Gladstone Golf Club. We also thank our major and minor hole sponsors and our supporters for helping to make this year's GEA Charity Golf Day the success that it was.
Gladstone Engineering Alliance’s 13th annual Charity Golf Day is the ideal environment for GEA members and non-members to network with one another outside of the office, develop future opportunities for collaboration, and give back to a local community charity.
The GEA Charity Golf Day includes a morning of networking at the Gladstone Club house, 18- hole golf tournament, lunch and will finish the day with prizes and an official presentation.
In 2023 we had 36 teams take part in the GEA Charity Golf Day, raising $5,000 for Bella the Brave. With your support we look forward to surpassing that figure in 2024!
Member Voted Charity for 2024
The beneficiary for our 2024 Charity Golf Day is in the works, and your vote counts! Stay tuned as the GEA members finalise their selection.
The big reveal is just around the corner!
AUSSIE HELPERS
Aussie Helpers is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting farmers and rural communities across Australia, particularly in Central Queensland. Since its founding in 2002, the organization has developed a range of programs to assist those affected by natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and bushfires.
Key programs include the Farmer Assistance Program, which provides financial aid, livestock feed, and essential resources to struggling farmers. Their Counselling and Mental Health Support services offer emotional and psychological assistance to farmers and their families, helping them cope with the stresses of rural life. The Volunteer Network mobilizes volunteers to deliver supplies, offer companionship, and provide hands-on help to rural communities.
Aussie Helpers also emphasizes Educational Support, assisting rural students with resources and scholarships to ensure access to quality education despite geographical challenges, Brekkie In a Bag, providing free, nutritional breakfasts for regional and remote school children. Additionally, their Community Engagement Initiatives organize events and activities to foster community spirit and resilience in rural areas.
Through these comprehensive programs, Aussie Helpers plays a crucial role in sustaining and revitalizing Australia’s farming communities, ensuring they receive both practical and emotional support during challenging times.
