The Gladstone Engineering Alliance (GEA) Industry Awards is our community’s opportunity to celebrate the spirit of innovation, excellence and collaboration that is fostered within our highly competitive industry supply chain. This year the awards was presented at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre last 8 October 2021.

We showcased excellence in business, and the significant contribution the supply chain makes to Central Queensland’s economy and community.

Industry Award Categories

Awarded to an organisation that can demonstrate a sustained safety performance and/or culture in a workplace that incorporates both physical safety and mental wellbeing. To enter this category an organisation must demonstrate an outstanding safety level backed up by a prolonged period of injury-free work or a transformational turnaround in safety performance, and/or provide an example of a mental health initiative that improved their overall organisational safety culture.

Awarded to an entrepreneur in the engineering and support sectors that demonstrates vision. This award celebrates the success of founders who have a desire to leave a legacy as an industry supply chain leader. To enter this category an individual must hold a leadership role within their organisation and demonstrate how they have strived for excellence, driven performance, worked collaboratively, showed courage and respect, and have shaped the future of their organisation.

Awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated the most innovation in seeking out new opportunities for their business either through new products or services, diversification into new markets, or adapting to meet the current environment. This can include cultural and environmental requirements. To enter this category an organisation must demonstrate how they have replaced limitations with innovations.

Awarded to an outstanding employee who demonstrates tenacity, dedication and loyalty. An individual that provides quality of service and goes above and beyond in their role. To enter this category an organisation must nominate an employee who has a demonstrated history of championing quality of service in product or service, and is a beacon to others within the organisation.

Awarded to those outstanding individuals who can be held up as a pioneer of the Central Queensland industry supply chain business community. To enter this category organisations must nominate an outstanding individual who, through their exceptional work and achievements, has made a significant contribution to the Central Queensland industry supply chain sector, and a profound difference in the community they serve. Past recipients include Cyril Golding of Golding Contractors, Bob McCosker of McCosker Contracting, former Boyne Smelters Limited General Manager Joe Rea, and Colin Walz of the Walz Group.

Celebrating exceptional organizational culture, the Beale Culture Award recognises an organisation that demonstrates how they have successfully created an equal and inclusive workplace culture for their people and their business. To enter this category an employee or business owner should demonstrate how their organisation has undertaken a substantial initiative which has had a demonstrable impact on their business culture. Entrants should include achievements in areas including strategic alignment, leadership development, stakeholder engagement, improving communications and advancing innovation.

Triple M's

Passionate about music, comedy, sport and everything that is Central Queensland, wake up with Banksy & Pinky each weekday from 6-9am. They’re the champions of everything CQ.

Pinky is a strong single mum leading a ‘mostly’ healthy and active lifestyle. She has a big heart but is a ‘takes no crap’ kinda’ gal. With a can do attitude she’s a bit of an over achiever and is here to support women and getting them living their best life in CQ.

Banksy loves music and performing in the local music scene. He has a strong family heart and is often stubborn and honestly a bit of a s#!t. He’s an old school rocker trying to survive these modern times. You can guarantee Banksy will find the punchline in anything.

When this pair come together, anything could happen! For your chance to win the best prizes, access the best of sport, and the globe’s favourite music artists, tune in to Banksy and Pinky on Triple M.
